AEGIS Signs on as Sapphire Sponsor for AGTO and WRO

AEGIS Tools International in Madison, Wis., has signed on as a sapphire sponsor of both the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO) and the Third Annual Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics (WRO).

This year's AGTO will be held in Las Vegas November 7-8, and the WRO will be held November 6. Both will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, as part of Auto Glass Week in Las Vegas, during the Auto Glass Expo at NACE.

The AGTO is co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and AGRR magazine, and the WRO is co-sponsored by the National Windshield Repair Association and AGRR magazine.

The first-place winner in the AGTO will receive an increased first prize of $10,000, a gold medal and trophy as well as bragging rights as the "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal and third will receive $500 and a bronze medal.

The first-place winner of the WRO will receive a cash prize of $1,000, a gold medal and trophy as well as bragging rights as "World's Best Repair Technician." Second place will receive $500 as well as a silver medal and third will receive $250 and a bronze medal.

Other events being held as part of Auto Glass Week are the International Auto Glass Safety Conference, the IGA's marketing conference and the NWRA's annual conference.
