AGTO Registration Closing in 3 Weeks

Don't wait too much longer to register to compete in the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO). The deadline is barely three weeks away—September 8, 2008. Don't miss out on the change to be named the best auto glass technician in the world AND win a $10,000 cash prize. That's right, $10,000 in cash.

The Auto Glass Technician Olympics returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, November 7-8 as part of Auto Glass Week @ NACE. It is co-sponsored by AGRR magazine and the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and open to all. The competition takes place all day on Friday, November 7, with the finals scheduled for Saturday, November 8. The winner receives a $10,000 cash prize and title of “World’s Best Auto Glass Technician.”

Eligible participants must work in a bona fide operating auto glass company, have at least one year experience in the industry, and follow the AGRSS Standard 002-2002.

For its fourth year in a row, this event will take the best technicians from local and international competitions and give them an arena in which to showcase their skills to each other as well as industry leaders. In addition to entry in the competition, competitors receive networking opportunities with fellow technicians and manufacturers, admission to the cocktail party after the AGTO preliminary heats finish on Friday, November 7, and admission to the NACE trade show.

The champion and the company he or she represents will receive extensive media coverage; use of the AGTO winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; use of the 2008 AGTO logo for a limited time, and a full-page ad and coverage in AGRR magazine.

It’s not too late to be part of the premier auto glass competition in Las Vegas! But Hurry, the deadline is right around the corner.
