Registration for the Fourth Annual AGTO Closes Monday, September 8

Time is running out to register to compete for the fourth annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO). The deadline is almost here—Monday, September 8 at 5 p.m. EDT. This year the top prize has increased to $10,000 cash.

For its fourth year in a row, this event will take the best technicians from local and international competitions and give them an arena in which to showcase their skills to each other as well as industry leaders. In addition to entry in the competition, competitors receive networking opportunities with fellow technicians and manufacturers, admission to the cocktail party after the AGTO preliminary heats finish on Friday, November 7, and admission to the NACE trade show.

The champion receives a cash prize of $10,000 and wins the title of "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." The winner and the company he or she represents will receive extensive media coverage; use of the AGTO winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; use of the 2008 AGTO logo for an unlimited time and a full-page ad and coverage in AGRR magazine.

Jason Horne of Cindy Rowe Auto Glass will return to defend his 2007 title as "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." (CLICK HERE for related story.)

It's not too late to challenge him and vie for this year's top honor.
