Several Auto Glass Manufacturers and Suppliers
Listed as Unsecured Creditors in Recent Bankruptcy Filing; Pilkington
North America Tops List
December 1, 2009
A large distributor of flat glass and aluminum products, Arch Aluminum
& Glass Co., filed for bankruptcy just last week, and though
the company does not deal directly with auto glass, the filing could
possibly have trickling affects, as several of its largest creditors
also supply auto glass. Pilkington North America topped the list
of creditors with the 20 largest unsecured claims, with a claim
of approximately $6.7 million. Guardian Industries followed, with
a claim of approximately $5.6 million, and PPG Industries Inc.,
which holds a minority interest in Pittsburgh Glass Works, holds
a claim of approximately $2.0 million.
Zeledyne LLC also is listed, with a claim of approximately $1.4
million. AGC Industries holds a claim of approximately $561,722.
