Dow Automotive Returns as Sapphire Sponsor of Auto Glass Technician Olympics

Dow Automotive of Dayton, Ohio, has signed on as a returning sapphire sponsor for the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO). This year's AGTO will be held in Las Vegas November 7-8, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association and AGRR magazine.

"In an industry that has many distractions the Technician Olympics brings a focus to the true fundamentals of the business-safety, quality and service," says Phil Jentoft, manager, commercial aftermarket, for Dow Automotive. "There are some great people in this industry and this event let's them showcase their talents. This is truly a premier event and Dow is proud to support the Olympics and its participants."

The first-place winner in the AGTO will receive an increased first prize of $10,000, a gold medal and trophy as well as bragging rights as the "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal and third will receive $500 and a bronze medal.
