Feeney Sees Diamond Integration in Four Parts
Tom Feeney, president and chief executive officer for Belron US, told glassBYTEs.com/AGRR magazine in an interview with AGRR publisher Deb Levy earlier this week that the integration of Diamond Glass into the company likely will occur in four stages or parts.
"We're looking at this integration in probably four chunks-the home office in Kingston, the supply chain, the field integration and then the whole point of sale conversion," he said, "so the [timeframe] is different with each of those four."
He added, "The largest group in one central location of course is Kingston. We've spent a fair amount of time up there talking with them and answering their questions. [Belron CEO] Gary [Lubner] and I were there this week and I can tell you, the associates have a smile on their faces, they've appreciated the candor, us visiting as many times as we have and being visible to them."
Throughout the integration, Feeney said the company is providing continual communication to employees about what is happening via newsletters and other modes.
"We're committed to keeping them informed, and frankly our commitment is on the bad news as well as the good news, as soon as we know, because our obligation is to them first," he added.
