In a press release today the Independent Glass Association (IGA) announced that Rex Altree resigned from his board position with the IGA citing "personal reasons." Altree was named to the board in July.
“The IGA Board of Directors has reviewed and accepted the resignation of Rex Altree effective immediately,” said Gary Hart, executive director of the IGA. “The board and its membership thank Rex for his contributions and wish him well.”
Altree was arrested for a second time Friday in relation to a DUI charge received on September 1, 2010 after investigators and forensic analysts determined the video footage used to dismiss the original charge was fabricated. One of the five pending felony charges against Altree alleges he engaged in evidence tampering.
