NAGS Calculator to Take Effect May 12
National Auto Glass Specifications International has begun distributing
its Spring 2008 Benchmark Calculator, which is set to take effect
on May 12.
glassBYTEs.com™/AGRR magazine compared the newest catalog
prices on the top 20 most popular parts with the May 2007 prices
for the same parts, and found an average decrease of -0.08 percent
on the prices.
Though many of the parts on the list saw a price decrease of less
than 1 percent since last May, one (DW01303GTN) saw a full 1.16-percent
decrease. Several parts also saw an increase-including DW01257GBY,
which saw a 4.99-percent hike from the May 2007 calculator.
For the top 100 parts, the weighted average increase was .15 percent.
For the top 500 parts, there was a weighted average decrease of
.90 percent, and for the top 1,500 parts, there was a weighted average
decrease of .96 percent.
