Nippon to Sell Land in Maizuru, Japan

Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd. has announced that it has agreed to the sale of the land and buildings formerly used for employee accommodations at its float glass plant in Maizuru, Kyoto, Japan, for approximately 570 million JPY (approximately $5.9 million U.S. dollars). Sekisui Him Kinki Co. Ltd. has agreed to purchase these assets, and the sale is scheduled to close in September 2009.

Company officials say the sale will provide for the "disposal of redundant non-core assets, consistent with the group's strategy of debt reduction."
