SRP to Serve as Cobalt Sponsor for Auto Glass
Week
June 15, 2011
SRP has become a Cobalt Sponsor in this year's unprecedented Auto
Glass Week event in Memphis, Tenn., in September.
"SRP is pleased to be back as a sponsor of Auto Glass Week,"
says David Osland, vice president of marketing and product development.
"It is a great opportunity to support the industry and recognize
those who dedicate themselves to safety and doing things the correct
way."
"Sponsorship of Auto Glass Week demonstrates a commitment
to the future of the auto glass industry," says event director
Holly Biller, "and we thank SRP for that support."
AGRR magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass
Technician Olympics (AGTO) also will be held as part of the event,
along with the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics.
In addition to serving as a Cobalt sponsor for Auto Glass Week,
SRP has agreed to donate cleaning supplies for the AGTO.
"At the AGTO, you see technicians who are doing it right every
time and taking pride in what they do," says Don Ford, who
handles regional sales for SRP's Northwest territory. "So many
times you hear people talk about the quality of their work, but
what they do and what they say is never the same thing. The AGTO
is an opportunity to celebrate those who do it right, regardless
if they are competing at the Olympics or not."
Auto Glass Week will be held September 15-17, 2011, at the Memphis
Cook Convention Center and Memphis Marriott Downtown.
Auto Glass Week will bring together all of the major auto glass
groups, including the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council
(AGRSS), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association
(NGA), and the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along
with AGRR magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass
Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics.
The International Window Film Tint-Off and Conference also
will be held concurrently. The event is managed by AGRR magazine.
