Safelite to Focus on Repair in Upcoming TV Ads; Campaign Could Extend into 2010
August 25, 2009
Safelite Auto Glass recently announced that it will be launching
a national television advertising campaign this October. According
to company spokesperson Jenny Cain, the ads will focus on repair,
much like the company's current radio ads, and also will mirror
parent company Belron's television ads around the world. (CLICK

"The TV advertisement
features a real company technician
demonstrating how a chip can turn into a crack and explaining the
benefits of vehicle glass repair," she says.
Cain adds that similar ads are running in Australia, Belgium, Canada,
Germany, Italy, France, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Safelite's ads will appear on "a mix of national and cable
networks," according to Cain.
Though the campaign currently is set to run for two weeks, company
officials plan to re-evaluate after the current schedule is up,
to determine if television ads will continue to be used in the future.
"Once we analyze the results and if it works as we expect it
to, TV advertising will be big part of our 2010 plan," Cain
says.
