Auto Glass Week™ 2012 Opens Tomorrow

Auto Glass Week™ 2012 opens tomorrow with a full range of educational seminars and the special “Evening of Champions” event. Auto Glass Week is being held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown and the Kentucky International Convention Center.

The co-sponsoring associations have been holding committee meetings today and they will wrap up tomorrow prior to the welcoming session at 2:30 p.m. Those in attendance will be able to hear from the associations’ leaders on what each association is doing for the industry as well as hear from expert business leader Garrison Wynn from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Registration is still available on-site. The registration desk will open on Thursday, September 20, at 7 a.m. for pre-registered attendees to pick up their badges and for those who still need to register.

Auto Glass Week will include a variety of speakers, such as investigative journalist Kurtis Ming and social media expert Monika Baraket, as well as the newly added OE Versus Aftermarket Quality seminar. Keynote speaker Captain Richard Phillips will speak Friday morning.

The Exhibition/Extravaganza will begin on Friday and run through Saturday. The Exhibition/Extravaganza includes the welcoming cocktail party, demonstrations, sponsors’ booths, the repair and replacement competitions, as well as the Silent Charity Auction.

Auto Glass Week will bring together all of the major auto glass groups, including the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (formerly the AGRSS® Council Inc.), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association (NGA), the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along with AGRR™ magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ also will be held concurrently. The event is managed by AGRR magazine.
