Breaking Even: Will You Know It If It Happens?

"In as much as it is every glass shop owner's goal, as to one year, actually break even or better, it might be worthwhile to know when you've done it," says Lyle Hill of MTH Industries. Spend some time at Glass Expo Midwest™ with Hill who will show you how to compute your operations break-even point. He will also spend some time discussing market mix management, and also look at fixed vs. variable cost differentiation.

Meet Lyle Hill in person. Those of you who read USG have seen his column monthly for as long as he has written; now see and hear him in person as he leads a seminar on Contract Glazing at Glass Expo Midwest (GEMS) October 14 - 15, 2004.

The session, Contract Glazing: Knowing Your True Costs, will help attendees understand the costs of doing business and how to bid jobs properly. Hidden expenses, dealing with change orders and other problem areas will also be discussed. This session is for everyone--architect and glazing contractor alike--whether you want to be able to put together or decipher a bid, know your costs and know where cuts can be made.

Recently named one of the most influential people in the industry, Hill brings to the seminar his well-known wit and his high expectations for doing business in today's competitive market.
