Guardian Buying Portions of PGW? No One’s Talking

Though rumors are circulating by AGRR™ magazine/glassBYTEs.com™ readers that Guardian is looking to take over portions of Pittsburgh Glass Works’ (PGW) business, executives from both companies declined to comment.

“There are often rumors somewhere in the world that Guardian plans to do this or that—so we have a company policy of not commenting on rumors or speculation,” says Earnest Thompson, director of marketing and brand management at Guardian Industries.

“No comment,” says Brian Bauer, vice president of sales for PGW.

Bauer says Gary Eilers has returned to PGW as vice president and general manager for PGW’s ARG group.
