YH America’s Sealant Division Expands

In addition to recognizing its 15th year in business, YH America Inc.’s Sealant Division, a subsidiary of the Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced it is doubling the size of its Kentucky manufacturing facility. The division manufactures an array of urethane adhesives and primers used for bonding auto glass windshields, back lites and side lites to vehicles, buses and military vehicles.

“We are thrilled about this expansion because it means we are successfully satisfying the evolving needs of our customers, and on a global scale,” says Al Harrington, YH America Sealant Division operations manager. “This positions us for future growth so that we can provide exceptional service and support to an even larger customer base.”

This $5.3 million investment will add 12,000 square feet to the plant and will bring new jobs to the local area, according to officials.

YH America Inc.’s Sealant Division was founded in 1998.

The company has grown to a global operation with the sealant division customers ranging from OEMs such as Toyota and General Motors to Honda and Tier I suppliers.
