“Diatech has been in business since 1985. We are predominantly a dental supply company but to our surprise, discovered that our drill bits were perfect for glass repair,” says Cheri Corder, the show coordinator for Diatech.
Diatech chose to sponsor Auto Glass Week 2014 to help benefit its brand exposure, and because “we had such a great response from our previous shows that it was a given,” says Corder.
As a Copper Sponsor of Auto Glass Week, Diatech will be featured on the show floor October 7-9. Attendees can expect to see “our drill bits, carbides, larger carbide bits for cutting small metal applications, as well as diamonds,” explains Corder. The annual event, managed by AGRR™ magazine and co-sponsored by the Auto Glass Safety Council, Independent Glass Association, National Glass Association and National Windshield Repair Association, draws more than 1,000 attendees and features top industry players on the show floor each year. Auto Glass Week will be held in Baltimore, Md. at the Baltimore Convention Center and Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel.
When asked if Diatech had any advice for the 2014 repair and replacement contestants, Corder wanted to remind contestants to “make sure that whatever bit you are using, is a 1-piece unit; avoiding the dreaded breakage!”
