United Kingdom-based Auto Windscreens’ management team has announced Chris Thornton as their new managing director.
Thornton joined Auto Windscreens this week. He has previously held senior positions at Autoglass and Lex Autocentres.
Chris takes over from Nigel Davies, who is now sales and business development director.
“Auto Windscreens is a company that is ‘clearly going places’ thanks to the belief of its workforce and the exceptional proposition offered to all our business customers, predominantly in the insurance and fleet sectors,” Thornton says. “Under Nigel’s leadership the company triumphantly rose from ashes to once again become a windscreen repair heavyweight. It is with pride that I now take the helm and look to build upon the achievements of the past three years to steer the company into a new era of success.”
Auto Windscreens reformed in March 2011 and was faced with a tough challenge to rebuild not only its business operations but also market confidence, according to officials. The company was acquired by Trifords Limited in 2011.
“In my new position of sales and business development director, I am keen to nurture existing relationships and develop new ones, and will work very closely with Chris to ensure we continue to surpass the expectations of our partners and end users,” Davies says.
