Hertz has teamed up with Auto Windscreens in a three-year sole supplier deal for its entire glass repair and replacement needs in the United Kingdom.
Around 4,500 windscreen repairs and replacements per year are anticipated throughout the United Kingdom through the contract, according to officials. The contract starts March 24.
“It is a big decision to move suppliers but Auto Windscreens has a proven system to seamlessly deliver same- or next-day repairs, organized with speed and minimum fuss,” says Neil Cunningham, general manager of Hertz U.K.
Auto Windscreens has appointed dedicated technicians at some Hertz locations, including Heathrow, to work exclusively on vehicles for the company. Managers will also work closely with Hertz’s various depots to support them where possible, although much of the repair workflow process progresses automatically, according to officials. Hertz managers can input details of any damaged vehicle glass into an internal logging system which will feed directly into Auto Windscreens’ back office system.
