Auto Glass Week™, the three-day international event featuring automotive glass repair and replacement competitions, educational seminars and an exhibition/extravaganza, is proud to announce that Sika Corp., the leading supplier of adhesives and sealants in the U.S. Auto Glass Replacement (AGR) market, has become a Sponsor of the event at the Silver level.
“Sika Corporation’s Industry and Automotive Divisions are headquartered in Madison Heights, Mich. The company serves the automotive, automotive aftermarket, automotive OES, industrial, marine, and transportation markets,” says Melanie Jaroch, marketing project coordinator for Sika. “Its product lines include polyurethane adhesives and sealants, hot melt adhesives, epoxies, acrylics, silicones and butyl sealants. Specific applications for Sika adhesives and sealants are found in appliance and components, automotive glass replacement, automotive OES, fenestration, HVAC, marine, metal building and transportation industries.”
Sika chose to increase its sponsorship level at this year’s Auto Glass Week, because “we think it is a great opportunity for everyone in the AGRR Industry to meet and showcase new products and services, as well as provide a platform to discuss new and relevant topics,” says Jaroch.
As a Silver Sponsor of Auto Glass Week, Sika will be featured on the show floor October 7-9. Attendees can expect to see “our full line of AGR adhesives and accessory products, as well as our new line of Flat Glass polyurethane and silicone products at this year’s show,” explains Jaroch.
“We also have a new and innovative AGR product, Sika® PowerClean Aid, which we recently introduced into the AGR market. This innovative product aids customers in easily detecting and removing Non-Traditional Contaminants (NTC’s) from AGR glass parts. With Sika® PowerClean Aid, technicians no longer need messy pastes, coarse abrasive pads, and it eliminates intense scrubbing to eliminate NTC’s,” adds Jaroch.

The annual event, managed by AGRR™ magazine and co-sponsored by the Auto Glass Safety Council, Independent Glass Association, National Glass Association and National Windshield Repair Association, draws more than 1,000 attendees and features top industry players on the show floor each year. Auto Glass Week will be held in Baltimore, Md., at the Baltimore Convention Center and Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel.
When asked why an event like Auto Glass Week is important to the automotive glass industry, Jaroch explained, “this is a great industry event as it allows everyone associated with AGRR to gather in one common place to meet, thus reducing travel costs throughout the year and fostering a sense of community within the industry.”
