This October, Auto Glass Week™ will host AGRR™ magazine’s two competitions as they return for their ninth year in Baltimore, Md. Registered and prospective contestants can now view the official competition rules and regulations online, as well as the annotated score sheets!
Both the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO) and the GlasWeld Windshield Repair Olympics in Honor of Walt Gorman (WRO) will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center. Located in the heart of the city and just steps away from the convention center is our host hotel, the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel.
Contestants from all over the world and various walks of life will face off for the title of “World’s Best Auto Glass Technician” and “World’s Best Windshield Repair Technician.” Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists in each competition, totaling more than $20,000!
Competition slots are limited, so be sure to register to compete soon if you are interested. The contestant registration deadline is August 15, and slots are on a first-come, first-served basis. Automotive glass technicians looking to develop their credentials may also register for a separate educational and testing course scheduled for Thursday, October 9. Technicians who would like to become an Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) Certified Automotive Glass Technician can register for this one-day, fast-track accreditation program to become even more established in the trade.
