After focusing on mobile automotive glass windshield repair and replacement work for years, Superior Auto Glass of Tampa Bay celebrated the grand opening of a shop Wednesday evening. The new facility is located at 4710 Rowan Road in New Port Richey, Fla., and can house three vehicles.
“It was a good grand opening turnout,” says Linda Rollinson, owner of Superior Auto Glass of Tampa Bay and a board member of the National Windshield Repair Association. “We had a ribbon cutting and everything. We were strictly all mobile before so it’s great to have a location. I try not to do repairs after 12 p.m. in the summertime because it gets too hot. We’re still doing mobile jobs, just trying to do them mostly in the mornings. We have two trucks. We can now also do work at our shop. And at the end of the day, windshield replacements need to be done in a controlled environment. I’m so much happier now that we can do it here at the new location.”
The shop also reduces the company’s demand for gas, which reduces overhead expenses.
“It saves us on gas money,” she notes. “We’re located within five miles of our three major dealer customers.”
