United Kingdom-based Autoglass, which is owned by Belron, is closing 100 locations and going to a mobile service platform, according to a local report.
About 180 employees could lose their jobs as Autoglass undergoes a review of operational processes.
“As part of this review, we’ve identified opportunities to bring our service closer to customers and have concluded that the role of our branch network as a customer service center may no longer be required in order for us to provide an efficient service to our customers,” said a company spokesperson, according the report.
“We can confirm that we are consulting with 179 branch-based employees regarding proposals to change our operating model,” she added in the report.
