Fuyao Auto Glass Plant to Add 750 More Jobs

Fuyao’s Auto Glass plant is nearly doubling its employees with a $130 million  investment. The company is adding 750 jobs to its Moraine, Ohio-based plant, bringing the total number of jobs committed to 1,550 and the total investment in the plant to $360 million.

That announcement came in a joint press conference with Gov. John Kasich yesterday afternoon.

Fuyao Chairman Cao Dewang thinks the investment will do more than just bring jobs to the U.S.

“The expansion in Ohio is a good move for the company and the region. This project should be elevated to a level where we can promote, from a private sector’s perspective, the relationship between the U.S. and China,” he said, adding he is “committed to ensuring the excellent of Fuyao’s U.S. auto glass manufacturing.”

Things are moving quickly for the company, as Fuyao announced just last year that it would locate its first North American automotive glass manufacturing facility to Ohio.
