Insurance Claims Management, the privately held parent company for HSG and CodeBlue, has named Wayne Sharrah as CEO. “A year ago I recruited Wayne Sharrah to serve on our board of directors. I was developing a succession plan,” says Paul Gross, who is stepping down from the CEO position to take on the role of company advisor.
“As part of a strategic plan developed over the last year, I am transitioning out of my role as CEO and Wayne will assume day-to-day leadership of the organization,” says Gross. “I will continue on with the company as an advisor and cannot think of a better leader to take on this role than Wayne. I am confident that the company will continue its growth and prosperity.”
“I could not have found a better candidate or guy. He is a class act and will do great job for us,” he adds.
Sharrah, an ICM board member, has more than 25 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance business, all in claims. He most recently served as chief claims officer of Esurance Insurance Co. and Esurance Inc. Prior to this position, Sharrah worked at OneBeacon Insurance, where he served as vice president of the commercial and personal claims division. Sharrah began his career at Progressive, where he spent 13 years in a variety of claims leadership positions.
“This is part of a strategic transition plan and I look forward to continuing the great work Paul started 12 years ago,” says Sharrah. “I am honored to bring my talents and abilities to ICM and believe that Paul has built a great organization that is poised for growth in the coming years.”
