Gerber Collision and Glass Acquires New Center

The Boyd Group Inc., parent company to Gerber Collision and Glass, Glass America and more, has acquired a collision repair center in Battle Creek, Mich.

The center has about 19,000 square feet of production space and previously operated under the name Phil Smead’s Auto Body. It will now operate under the Gerber Collision and Glass name.

“This is Gerber’s second location in Battle Creek and adds to our strong presence in the state of Michigan,” says Tim O’Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. “This is a large facility that has been serving the Battle Creek community since 1980.”
