Wednesday, September 30 | 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | How Vehicle Technology is Changing Your Business | Part 1: How Technology Will Change Vehicles
It’s almost too much to fathom, let alone plan for: automated driver-assist systems, connected cars, data collection and reporting, accident avoidance systems, V2V technology, driver impairment recognition technology, external airbags, alternative fuel cells, infotainment systems, laser lights, self-driving and self-parking cars. Add to that the new aluminum and other bodied vehicles and the experimental use of magnifying glass and solar cells to power cars, and it’s easy to see why the car of the future will look nothing like the car of today. And that means the automotive glass business will look nothing like it does today. This two-part session begins with an overview of all the changes in auto design that will hit the market in the next few years, with a special focus on those technologies that will affect the glass industry.
