ABRA Auto Body & Glass has entered into the Chicago market by acquiring Express Auto Glass. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition marks the first presence of ABRA’s automotive glass operations in Chicago.

“The management will remain the same. Nothing is changing,” says Steve Smitk, manager of Express Auto Glass.

“We’ve been incredibly successful in growing our collision repair operations in the Chicago metro very quickly,” says Duane Rouse, president and CEO of ABRA. “With the addition of our auto glass operations we now have even more opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional customer service model to vehicle owners and insurance partners alike.”

Jim Richardson, vice president of automotive glass, adds, “We are building on a solid foundation of experience and longevity. Launching auto glass in Chicago is a great operational fit and an exceptional opportunity for employees. ABRA has all the ingredients of a successful company—integrity, a culture of ethics, a well-respected reputation, and teamwork with a strong focus on customer service.”
