Safelite Group Buys Central Missouri AGRR Company

Safelite Group is acquiring substantially all of the automotive glass assets of central Missouri-based Accurate Glass.

Accurate Glass has been owned and operated by Scotty Rains since 2006. The acquisition includes all of the company’s employees and both locations in Jefferson City and Camdenton, Mo. Rains will stay with the business serving as store manager for both locations, according to Safelite.

Rains declined to comment on the deal. The transaction closed on December 31, 2015.

According to the company’s Facebook page, “Accurate Glass LLC is a locally owned and operated auto glass shop based in Jefferson City with over 30 years combined experience.”

The two locations will be cobranded under Safelite and Accurate Glass “until further plans are made,” according to a Safelite statement.

Previously, Safelite only offered mobile service in the area.

“We are pleased to welcome Accurate Glass’s employees to the Safelite team,” says Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite Group. “As new associates, we are happy to offer them all the resources they need to succeed. Additionally, we are delighted to be able to continue to provide local customers access to the best value and service in the industry.”
