United Kingdom-based Auto Windscreens has opened a new Training & Innovation Academy for automotive glass repair and replacement technicians. The education center is accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

The academy features a designated training room and houses new vehicles featuring the latest windshield technology, including built-in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), so trainees can practice complex repair and replacement techniques, according to officials.

“Our technicians have always been trained to a high standard but the academy provides a renewed focus on excellence and offers learning in a vibrant, fresh environment,” says Tony Green, Auto Windscreens’ technical and innovation manager. “The center will be used to train individuals new to the business and to develop the skills of experienced technicians in line with industry standards and advancements in technology.”
