Glass America Acquires Ryan’s Auto Glass

Glass America, a subsidiary of the Boyd Group, has purchased Ryan’s Auto Glass, which includes four locations serving the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, area. Ryan’s Auto Glass is a business unit of All Service Glass, which is based in Lima, Ohio. The corporate location in Lima is not a part of the deal.

Ryan’s Auto Glass has been serving the community for more than 25 years.

“We are very pleased to acquire Ryan’s Auto Glass,” says Eddie Cheskis, president and CEO of Glass America. “This acquisition and its excellent employees give us the ability to provide timely, quality auto glass repair and replacement services in a consumer-friendly environment. We look forward to serving the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas.

“We will retain many of the existing team members,” Cheskis explains. “The owner will remain with the Lima location.”

Each employee will be evaluated on a position-by-position basis, says Cheskis.

As for rebranding the branches, that has yet to be determined.

“With our new team members, we will evaluate our branding options,” says Cheskis.

All Service Glass will continue operations as usual, says Eric Wiechart, owner.

“We’ve always done commercial, residential and automotive out of Lima,” he explains.

The Lima location includes 40 employees. The Ryan’s Auto Glass locations have approximately 22 employees.

The combined business, Ryan’s Auto Glass and All Service Glass, had estimated automotive glass-only retail sales of $5.5 million in 2015. The company was founded in 1975.
