The PipeKnife Company will Sponsor Auto Glass Week™ 2016 this fall in San Antonio, Texas. The three-day international event will feature automotive glass repair and replacement competitions, educational seminars and an exhibition floor.
“The most beneficial part of sponsoring Auto Glass Week is meeting industry professionals and staying up-to-date on the latest trends for removal and installations,” says Dell Skluzak, owner of the PipeKnife Company. “The contacts that are made, especially with Canadian/Latin America and other foreign specialists is especially rewarding.”
He says the event is key for networking.
“The geographical location was especially interesting after being on the East Coast for several years and last year in Reno,” Skluzak adds. “Texas is a big state with a large population, and San Antonio is a destination location that is affordable.”
The PipeKnife Company will be at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, on October 5-7, 2016, featuring its products on the exhibition floor.
“The PipeKnife Company manufactures three of the original tools still commonly used today: the Original PipeKnife cutout tool and the REID cold knife and cold knife blade. We continue to improve our products to make them easier for the auto glass replacement tech to use, and we will also be showing a new low-cost glass setting device,” says Skluzak.
“Our main focus is to supply and support the AGR wholesale distribution network,” he adds. “We offer special introductory pricing for our new items introduced at the event to encourage our distributors to promote those items.”
A hot topic at this year’s event will be how the AGRR industry handles recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after a windshield replacement.
“Auto Glass Week allows a voice to industry specialists on evolving technology which will affect all of the companies involved in glass replacement,” says Skluzak.
The annual event, co-sponsored by the Auto Glass Safety Council™, Independent Glass Association, National Glass Association, National Windshield Repair Association™ and AGRR™ magazine, draws attendees and top players from throughout the industry to the exhibition floor each year.
“This is the only show where the industry gathers from glass manufacturers, urethane, tools, services and showcases the best installers from around the world who specifically train for this event,” says Skluzak.
