Employee-owned Banner Glass, which has eight locations covering Maryland and Northern Virginia, has shuttered its doors.
“Banner Glass has closed all branch locations on July 8, 2016,” says Bob Lilly, president.
Lilly did not respond to a request for additional comment about the closing. A call to the company was forwarded to an answering machine that says all locations closed July 8, 2016.
Banner Glass was founded May 1, 1956 with a small automotive glass installation shop in downtown Silver Spring, Md., according to the company’s website.
The company was included in AGRR™ magazine’s list of top automotive glass retailers. It had 81 employees and an estimated $5 million in annual sales.
