National Windscreens Opens Calibration Center

National Windscreens has opened an Advanced Driver Assistance System calibration center in Inverness, U.K.

“It is widely anticipated that by 2020, more than 40 percent of new vehicles will have at least two types of driver assistance system such as lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control, as standard,” says Andy Rae, regional director for National Windscreens.

“The increasing number of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that use windshield-mounted cameras means that camera calibration, following glass replacement or accident damage, is absolutely necessary to ensure these safety features continue to work as intended,” Rae adds.
