The Department of Transportation recently awarded DOT numbers to four automotive glass companies.
Techni-Glass Inc., based in Surgoinsville, Tenn., received Department of Transportation (DOT) number 1071. The company fabricates more than 65 types of glass across several industrial applications. DOT numbers were also awarded to Asian divisions of Saint-Gobain Sekurit and Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. (NSG). Asia-based Renias Co., Ltd., also received a DOT number.
Saint-Gobain Sekurit Co., Ltd., of Wuhan, China received DOT Number 1072. Saint-Gobain Sekurit has been a leading manufacturer of car glazing for more than 80 years, according to the company website. As part of the Saint-Gobain Group, the company provides products and services in three markets:
- OEM automotive glass;
- Automotive glass replacement (aftermarket) parts; and
- Glass for transport vehicles (buses, trucks and aeronautics).
The Kyoto Plant of Japan’s NSG received DOT Number 1073. NSG one of the world’s leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three business areas: architectural; automotive; and technical glass, according to the company website.
DOT Number 1074 was awarded to Renias Co., Ltd. The company, based in Hiroshima, Japan, “creates an environment-friendly future, with ‘safe and reliable manufacturing technology,’” according to the Renias’ website.
