NOVUS Glass is currently conducting a joint field test with Pilkington of the Opti-Aim ADAS recalibration tool in strategic locations throughout North America.
After reviewing the data from the field test, plans are to roll out the system nationally in early 2017, with international distribution to follow.
“The creation of the Pilkington Opti-Aim ADAS recalibration tool will revolutionize our industry’s ability to service customers by providing a one-stop shopping experience,” said Rick Christiaanse, chief commercial officer and vice president of operations of NOVUS’ parent company, TCGI. “We are excited to be a part of the development and testing process of the Opti-Aim and look forward to its international roll out.”
Because the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems will already be recalibrated, NOVUS will now have the ability to deliver the customer’s vehicle ready for the road. The systems that the Opti-Aim tool can recalibrate include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert, Forward Collision Avoidance, and all other current systems.
