The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold a regional training and accreditation program in Long Island, N.Y., next week. The training course and certification exam will be offered twice, once on Thursday, March 30, and again on Friday, March 31, at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington Hotel.
The program is free for technicians who currently work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The cost is $49 for technicians who do not work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The course will be led by Bob Beranek, chair of the AGSC AGRSS™ Standards Committee and president of Auto Glass Consultants.
The training part of the program will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, and then the exam will be given at 7 p.m. On Friday, March 31, the training course will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the exam will follow at 11:30 a.m.
“This is a great opportunity for technicians to train and take the certification exam without having to travel a great distance,” says Beranek.
