Select Car Makers Back Auto Windscreens in Support of Recalibration

Auto Windscreens announced today that it has received official backing for its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) solution from leading manufacturers Mazda, Toyota and Volkswagen Group UK.

Auto Windscreens says it is the only vehicle glass repair company to have invested in building partnerships with manufacturers to combat issues around ADAS, rather than committing to spend on non-manufacturer-built re-calibration equipment. The company has developed a unique relationship with these auto makers to ensure that any vehicle incorporating ADAS is fitted with an OEM windscreen and is re-calibrated by their dealers.

“There is no doubt that there has been much discussion about how to best tackle ADAS windscreens; manufacturers are clear on their stance on the usage of OEM glass and authorized repairers being their preferred approach,” says Rupert Armitage, Auto Windscreens’ managing director. “We expect other vehicle producers to issue similar statements, as we have seen from their U.S. counterparts.”
