On the Blogs: What Can you Not Live Without?

I am, of course, referring to your job in the auto glass industry, when I ask: what app, website or trick could you not live without on the road?

But first, a little about me and why I am asking. Some of you may already know me as I have been around at Key Communications, the AGRR and glassBYTEs parent company, for a while—almost 20 years. In fact, working on Windshield Repair magazine was my first assignment here and then I was involved in the launch of AGRR. So I know a lot about your industry, and my role in glassBYTEs and AGRR just got a little bigger. I am now actively serving as the editorial director (even though I always had this role). As we move some things around here I will be your go-to person for all things auto glass. I may pass you on to our now permanent glassBYTEs editor Katherine Coig or to our contributing writer Drew Vass, but you can start with me.

Which brings me to my original question. In our upcoming July/August issue I am writing about the services and products you and your techs can’t live without. Don’t get me a wrong; if there’s an auto glass tool that’s your “go-to” send me an email and let me know. But what I really want to know are things like this:

  • Is there a traffic app that would cause you extra time on the road if it didn’t exist?
  • Do you know how to use the AGRR DOT website to make your job easier?
  • Do you have a special tool hidden in your truck that helps you heat resin in the colder months?

These are the things I want to know about. Post a comment here or email me at ttaffera@glass.com.

I look forward to seeing all of you at Auto Glass Week in October where yours truly, along with Drew, will be brining you the videos and stories from the show floor. See you there!
