Rhode Island Senator Dominick Ruggerio introduced a bill that would prohibit domestic and foreign insurance companies from discriminating against individuals in a domestic partner relationship concerning policies issued or renewed in the state.
Included in the bill was the domestic partner’s right to choose an auto glass repair and replacement shop, so long as the person is insured and the shop is licensed.
The bill is currently being heard in the Senate Committee.
