Pilkington Consolidates, Closes Five Service Centers

Pilkington is in the process of consolidating a number of its auto glass service centers.

GlassBYTEs.com has confirmed the Randolph, Mass., Burlington, Vt., Clifton, N.J., Dallas and Oklahoma City, Okla., centers have either closed or are in the process of closing.

In addition, the service centers in Texarkana, Texas, Memphis, Tenn., and Cleveland, Ohio, locations have all had their phone lines disconnected.

    Sad to see the way this corporation and our industry is headed.

    It seems like that closing these centers may be their first step in putting their wholesale division up for sale. Closing the unprofitable warehouses are usually a good sign to make the books look more enticing.. It might be a perfect fit for FYG ???
