PGW Auto Glass, an LKQ company, has acquired the wholesale division of Missouri-based Mark’s Mobile Glass for an undisclosed amount.
According to a notice sent by Mark’s Mobile Wholesale Glass division, the acquisition was to allow its wholesale customers to further grow. The company is currently a distributor for PGW, Carlite, Guardian Glass, Mopar and Pilkington.
“I, along with the Mark’s Mobile Wholesale glass team and PGW Auto Glass teams, will work together to make this a seamless transition,” the letter reads. “Myself, and the entire organization, wish to personally thank each of our valued customers for their business and support over the years.”
The company was founded in 1993 and provides a variety of mobile glass services throughout Missouri and the greater Kansas City area in addition to being a wholesale distributor.
The acquisition does not include the company’s retail installation business, which is comprised of seven locations. The acquisition became effective January 29.
Wow did not even know they had a wholesale division….
PGW Auto Glass is owned by Vitro, not LKQ.
Hi Red,
Vitro owns the OEM portion of PGW Auto Glass; LQK remains the owner of the aftermarket auto glass section. I hope this clarifies things.
Thank you!
