The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold a number of regional certification training courses across the United States throughout the next 18 months.
Each session will include a three-hour training course, along with time to take the certification exam. The courses will be led by Bob Beranek, chair of the AGSC AGRSS™ Standards Committee.
The training program and certification tests are free for technicians who currently work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. For technicians who do not work for an AGSC Registered Member Company, the training program is free and the cost to take the certification test is $49.
The first opportunity to take the course will be on June 1 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Wash. (suburban Seattle).The training course will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the exam will be given at 12:30 p.m.
In September, Beranek will lead a class at Auto Glass Week™ in San Antonio, Texas. The course will be held on September 29 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The training class will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the exam will be given at 2 p.m.
A training session will also be held in Indianapolis, Ind., on November 9. The program will be held at the JW Marriott Indianapolis from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the exam will follow at 12:30 p.m.
A course also is scheduled for January 25, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center in Aurora, Colo. The class will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the exam will follow at 12:30 p.m.
“We have had great success with regional training courses in the last few years,” says AGSC director of operations Kathy Bimber. “This is a wonderful opportunity for technicians to train for the exam for free without traveling too far.”
