How the Auto Glass Industry Stacks Up In The Fortune 500

Fortune 500 magazine, ranked the biggest American companies in its June 2018 issue, a few of which are related to the auto glass and insurance industries. Three were in the top 100:

  • State Farm Insurance landed the 36th spot earning just under $80 billion with a 2.9 percent change from 2016.
  • Allstate came in at 79th place, profiting more than $3 billion with a 69.9 percent change from 2016.
  • 3M finished in 97th place, bringing in just over $31 billion in total revenue. That’s an increase of 5.1 percent from 2016.

Tesla, a leader in autonomous innovation faired at the midpoint in 260th place. The company excelled in total revenue with $11 billion, an increase of 68 percent from 2016. But the company hasn’t done well with overall profits by not seeing positive growth from 2016’s results. Corning finished just above their 2016 ranking, coming in at 293rd place. Its overall revenue reaching slightly past $10 billion, giving it a more than 7 percent change from 2016.
