It’s not uncommon for traffic safety issues to cause accidents, which could lead to auto glass shops around the country being impacted. The nation’s safety officials see 7 major priorities as designated by the Government Highway Safety Association (GHSA).
- Autonomous Vehicles
- Substance-Impaired Driving
- Teen Driver Safety
- Distracted Driving
The GHSA joined forces with AT&T’s It Can Wait campaign, which informs the public that using a cell phone while driving isn’t worth the consequences. This year both companies encouraged more of the public to sign the pledge stating they will not utilize their phones while behind the wheel.
- Drowsy Driving
For the second consecutive year the association and the National Road Safety Foundation worked together to give five states $75,000 to efforts against drowsy driving.
- Bicyclist and Pedestrian Safety
State Farm and the GHSA published a report that includes recommendations for how states can increase bicyclist safety.
- Occupant Protection
