Safelite has purchased another regional powerhouse; Glasspro of North Charleston SC, an 11 – location AGRR company owned by Paul Heinauer. The transaction was completed at the close of business January 4, 2019, according to the company.
“I’ve always been incredibly impressed with Paul’s leadership and Glasspro’s focus on delivering excellence. He is a man of great integrity with actions that consistently put his people first. It is one of the deepest honors for Safelite to welcome Glasspro associates to our business and to our family,” said Tom Feeney, Safelite’s CEO and president.
Glasspro Inc. began when Heinauer, founded it in 1995. Its first location was in North Charleston, SC. Over the years, Heinauer expanded his auto glass business by opening more locations throughout the state in locations his customer’s requested, according to the company. In just over two decades Glasspro grew to the 11 locations that are being sold.
Customer satisfaction was a top priority for Heinauer throughout his auto glass career. His philosophy on customer satisfaction was a driving force behind mandatory certification for his technicians by both the AGSC and the company’s urethane adhesive supplier.
In 2017 Heinauer received the Award for Excellence in Auto Glass Safety, the industry’s highest honor, which is bestowed by the AGSC.
“For the past 23 years I have been blessed and privileged to lead a business that has experienced great success, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Glasspro associates. The decision to sell to Safelite was far from being an easy one. Our people and our customers deserve an organization that delivers excellence. Through discussions with my family and close friends, I found comfort in knowing our business philosophies align well with Safelite’s, particularly around our mission of serving our customers and taking care of our people,” Heinauer added.
“Paul’s contributions to his team and to his community are significant and his legacy will live on as we build upon the solid foundation he has established over the past two decades. I’m confident he’ll be proud of the results,” said Feeney.
