Safelite to Provide Claims Administration Services for Travelers Insurance

Safelite Solutions, Safelite’s claims administration company, has taken over administration of Travelers Insurance claims as of today. Claims were formerly administered by eGlassClaim, which is owned by Mitchell International, parent of NAGS, and done through the online resource.

Travelers Insurance notified auto glass shop owners about the change in claims administrators earlier this month. According to the company’s notice, if a referral for Travelers was open in eGlassClaim before today’s date, shop owners were able to complete and invoice the claim to Travelers via eGlassClaim. New claims as of today go to Safelite.

Though Safelite Solutions confirmed the company will administer the program with Travelers, it declined to offer more information about how the program will be implemented. eGlassClaim says that only its work with Travelers is affected and users should not notice any changes or disruptions to its other claims administration programs.

    The change by Travelers to Safelite solution once again takes money out of my company’s pocket. We used to have 20% off NAGS pricing on replacements and now that’s at 45%.

    I don’t understand how safelite can gain another insurance company to handle claims for this is a monopoly at its finest.
