Update For Arizona Bill

Earlier this month an Arizona Senator introduced a new bill, also known as SB1226. If it had passed it would have impacted automotive glass shops throughout the state. Fortunately shops don’t have to continue following it because it has “died” in the Senate Finance Committee meeting.

SB1226 sought to create new limits around what a valid assignment of benefits (AOB) looks like, and some in the industry felt some of the bill’s text would have made it more difficult for customers to assign their benefits to Arizona auto glass companies.
