Axel Miller Leaves D’Ieteren

Due to a disagreement on visions D’Ieteren’s future, its board of directors announced today that Axel Miller will leave his position as CEO, managing director and other positions he held within the company and its subsidiaries. Belron owns Safelite Autoglass in the United States.

“In the immediate future, the daily management of the group will continue to be carried out by the other members of the executive committee, Arnaud Laviolette and Francis Deprez, pending the appointment of a new CEO,” according to the company’s release.

D’Ieteren’s board of directors and Miller noted their visions on the group’s future developments and the leadership style no longer coincide and, for these reasons, have decided not to move forward together. Miller joined the board of directors as an independent director in May 2010 and was appointed CEO and managing director in May 2013, according to the company’s release. With more than five years at the head of D’Ieteren, he built a quality team and achieved healthy and solid results by ensuring efficient collaboration between the company and its subsidiaries.
