Vitro Automotive Division Gets New Location

Auto glass shops have another avenue to purchase glass thanks to Vitro’s recent announcement on its new Texas location, which will serve as a wholesale distribution business. According to the company, its main goal is to have quicker distribution times overall, as well as establish a stronger company presence located closer to Mexico.

“We’re currently working on revamping our distribution. The company plans to deliver orders by 8 a.m. the day after the order is placed, provided the order is received by 5 p.m.,” said Jim Ricci, Vitro business development manager.

Ricci stated “it’s [the company] thrilled to have a new location.” Although the physical 25,000 square-foot building has not officially opened, customers can still reach its general customer service line which has been available for a few weeks. In addition to the customer service line, the website is also expected to launch. It will allow auto glass customers to purchase, order and check the status of their orders at any time.

“I don’t have the official date yet, but I anticipate it being open this week or at the latest next week,” said Ricci.

Vitro has been known in the industry for over a century and manufacturers aftermarket auto glass that is comparable to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) auto glass, according to the company. Ricci also mentioned why the concept of this location is so valuable.

“The whole concept is of Vitro being a quality industry supplier. We deliver OE quality glass that’s reasonably priced. We feel there is a great deal of confusion in the marketplace since we purchased the manufacturing of PGW. We will be entering the market offering OE quality Vitro Glass branded under Vitro’s own logos at competitive pricing,” Ricci added.
