National Windscreens has expanded its national network with the opening of two new purpose-designed workshops in Sheffield, United Kingdom, and Chelmsford, United Kingdom. This expansion forms part of an ongoing UK-wide investment to meet the huge demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration following windscreen replacement, according to the company.
As part of a national network of 108 centers, the new workshops offer the facility to undertake windscreen replacement and ADAS calibration on a local basis, in just one visit.
The new center in Sheffield replaces the previous well-established site in the town center. The primary objectives of the relocation are to provide customers with easier access, along with more spacious, practical workshop conditions to accommodate the growing number of ADAS calibrations being undertaken.
“The old fitting center no longer met our required standards for an accessible, modern workshop, so it was important that we relocated as soon as possible to maximize customer convenience,” says Will Clay, regional operations manager for Sheffield. “The new workshop offers a spacious design, which not only looks fantastic, but provides a much better customer experience too.
“The staff are incredibly proud of their new fitting center; it has definitely boosted the general morale. All in all, relocating has been a very positive experience for all concerned, especially our customers,” he adds.
Terry Liddard, regional operations manager for Chelmsford, says, “We are thrilled with the opening of the new fitting center in Chelmsford; we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment, to provide the highest possible level of service. The center’s manager, Ian, started with National Windscreens back in 2007 as a trainee technician and is now the fitting center manager. Ian and his team offer a very warm welcome to the conveniently situated workshop for all motorists in the area.”
The new centre in Sheffield, managed by Duane Mannion, is located at Unit 4 Flockton Park, Holbrook Industrial Est, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S20 3FF. Chelmsford’s new centre, managed by Ian Rattu, can be found at Unit 15, 4 Cromar Way, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 2GL.
